Discover the Origins of Ambacia
Originally, Ambacia Ambacia was the name of the ancient settlement of Amboise. An evocative name meaning “between two waters,” it refers to the town’s geographical location, overlooking the Loire and the Amasse rivers. As early as the 1st century BC, a vast Gallic oppidum (fortified settlement) already occupied the Châtelliers plateau, at the heart of what is now Amboise. In tribute to this rich heritage, we chose the name “Logis Ambacia” for our home, conceived as a place to stay at the heart of Amboise and its history.
